The independent, third party testing laboratory uses the ASTM E1052 Method: Standard Test Method to Assess the Activity of Microbicides against Viruses in Suspension.
Pure&Clean Hand Cleanser, Wound Cleanser, First Aid Solution and Hydrogel are FDA-cleared medical devices. Efficacy is a requirement of this classification.
HOCl is known to be more effective than alcohol and to be effective against enveloped and non-enveloped viruses. While we have not conducted norovirus (non-enveloped virus) efficacy testing using our FDA-cleared solution, adenovirus is a comparable non-enveloped virus.
