Mold grows from a spore and there are many types according to the U.S. EPA. An important key is to remove moisture that is necessary for mold spores to grow. Further information can be found under the topic of mold on both the EPA and CDC websites.
Disinfection claims are associated with Pure&Clean Disinfectant labeled product which is registered with the EPA. Here is a list of organisms the product has been tested and found to be effective against. No results are shown for testing on mold spores.
